So, where is Katie? She is in South China, in Guangxi Province, which is the light blue province, next to Vietnam on the South China Sea. We have learned that it is quite tropical there with the rainy season lasting from June through August...no need for layers of clothes...just dry ones, if that's possible!
The provincial capital is Nanning where we will be living it up at the Best Western...yes, it's true! (We hear there's a Wal-Mart there as well.) We know that we will not be visiting the orphanage which is disappointing but we hope to do some sight seeing in the area and plan to absorb as much of her culture as we can while we are there!
