Squeaky Shoes and Buddhist Blessings

We visited a Buddhist Temple today and asked the monks to bless the babies.  This is a traditional ceremony that many people do before leaving China.  It was interesting.  In the photo, we are the second couple from the left, Katie is in the snugli that I'm wearing.

In China, there are shoes made here called Squeaky Shoes.  Basically they're a decent shoe with a squeaker in the heel of the shoe so when the baby walks, her shoes squeak.  They are all the rage and come in all styles and colors!  We've purchased two pair so far for Katie.  They are very reasonably priced as fast as little feet grow.  If anyone needs a pair of these, let me know in the next two days--seriously they're like $4 a pair!
